Reader sends photo of yacht aground in Phuket

Following the publication of a story about a yacht that sank in Moreton Bay (see Related Content) a mysailing reader, Martin Woolnough (owner/sailor of Océanis 48 'GUMNUTS'), has sent this pic. Martin writes:

7:30 am 2nd April. Sad to see this yacht washed up on the beach this morning at Kata Beach, Phuket. We saw the boat drop anchor (sandy bottom) yesterday afternoon. Looks like the owner has gone ashore (dinghy up the beach has been dragged not washed up). 

I'll be following through and let you have full update by end of day. What happened, what's next especially. One interesting 'personal' twist is what to do without the owners present.  It also puts the brain in gear about the possibilities and what are the options.
 
As you can see from the lazy stowage on board (sails etc) there is clearly a lack of seamanship here …
