Maserati beats PowerPlay to finish in RORC Transatlantic

Giovanni Soldini's Italian Multi 70 Maserati was the first to cross the line in the fifth edition of the RORC Transatlantic Race, taking multihull line honours and completing the 3,000 nautical mile race between Lanzarote and Grenada in an elapsed time of 6 days, 18 hours, 54 minutes and 34 seconds.

Maserati was closely followed by Peter Cunningham's MOD70 PowerPlay, which crossed the finish off Port Louis at 07:40:12, after an Atlantic duel between the two mighty trimarans.

The RORC Race Team is currently on the dock at Camper & Nicholson's Port Louis Marina to welcome both teams. Images, video and a full race report with interviews will be available in a few hours.
