City of Perth Festival of Sails

The City of Perth Festival of Sail returns to the city front with a blockbuster program of sailing activities taking place from this Saturday, 27th January to Friday, 2nd February 2018.

Spectators are encouraged to attend this free event based out of Elizabeth Quay and listen to live race commentary on 106.5FM. The event includes an exciting range of activities including free sailing for the public on the Australia Day long weekend.

Program
Saturday, 27th and Sunday, 28th January from 1000 to 1700, free ‘Discover Sailing and ‘Tackers’ for children and adults from Elizabeth Quay.

Tuesday, 30th January – a leadership driven event ‘Women On Water’ for up to 80 CBD based businesswomen, hosted by high performing, including a number of female, sailing athletes.

Wednesday, 31st January teams of sponsors, stakeholders and key Perth businesses battle it out in the ‘Corporate Cup’, hosted by high level sailing athletes.

Thursday, 1st February volunteers, staff, stakeholders and competitors from the entire event will take part in a ‘Beach Clean Up’ in conjunction with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, Keep Australia Beautiful and ‘Friends of Elizabeth Quay’.

Friday, 2nd February, guests get to enjoy the annual major fundraising event for the Warren Jones Regatta – the Warren Jones Gala Luncheon, which, this year, has a leadership theme. The luncheon is hosted at Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club, before heading out on the water to watch the finals of the Warren Jones International Youth Regatta and foiling water sports on Perth Waters.

None of this would be possible without the support of Swan River Sailing, the Warren Jones Foundation and the City of Perth and our sponsors: ASG Group, Amex Corporation, Gibbscorp, Pakcer & Co., Ford and Doonan, Front Screens and the host, Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club.
