One person's VIP trip to the Extreme Series, thanks to Marinepool

Last day of sailing and Phillip Ross, editor of Cruising Helmsman and part of the Yaffa Sailing Team, was given the opportunity to experience the VIP treatment at the last ‘Act’ of the Extreme Series in Sydney.

In the end, the day got too breezy for the chance to ride on one of the Extreme 40s in one of the eight races held during the day. But Ross still took the helm for a one hull blast down Sydney Harbour along with the 33degree South Racing shore team with Nina Curtis (Australian Olympic silver medallist) in charge.

A blast. The video here is in wide angle so does not accurately depict how close you can get to these boats.

Looking forward to next year when the Extreme goes foiling. Enjoy.
