Windcraft Group announce Lagoon dealership along with multihull agency

The Windcraft Group, one of Australia's largest yacht sales companies, has signed an agreement as exclusive importer for Lagoon catamarans in Australia.

Lagoon, working with the design team Van Peteghem and Lauriot Prevost (VPLP), claims the largest manufacturer of catamarans in the world. Since it's inception in 1984, Lagoon has relied on its expertise to provide innovative design in cruising catamarans.

To welcome the new dealership, the Windcraft Group formed 'The Multihull Group' (TMG) to handle the specialised  multihull market. TMG managing director, John Cowpe, has a strong connection with the Lagoon brand and is looking forward to steering the marque to the number 1 spot in Australia.

TMG will operate out of four locations on the east coast of Australia, starting on September 1st.

Cowpe intends to provide excellent after-sales service through a dedicated service centre as this is one of the hallmarks the Windcraft brand prides itself on providing. He promises TMG customers can look forward to the care and attention afforded to all owners within the Windcraft Group of companies. “We are the market leaders in providing the Australian market with the right product and the appropriate level of service – taking on Lagoon effectively completes the circle in our product portfolio.”

Lagoon catamarans offer a range of sail and power catamarans from 38 to 63 feet. The French company says it has more customers sailing the world than any other manufacturer. By these numbers the company is able to listen to its customers and apply their suggestions to the evolution of the company’s designs.

More space, more comfort, and sleek design are the design trends future Lagoon owners are promised in the upcoming range upgrades.

Cowpe says this philosophy by Lagoon fits in with the Windcraft Group, “by enhancing our relationships with current customers and with so many of our boats on the water already, the TMG can provide economies of scale in service before and after the sale process.”

“Look out for future Lagoon designs coming to Australia.”
