Meanwhile, on another note, Australian Sailing editor ties the bowline

Over the weekend Australian Sailing editor Kimberley Wilmot tied the knot with long-time beau Paul Montague.

Yaffa Media and especially its sailing team, wish all the best for Mrs. and Mr. Montague as they prepare for that long cruise through life together. A gentle, simple wedding was held at Mona Vale golf course providing a stunning backdrop of the Tasman Sea. Family and friends then partied upstairs long into the night to ensure a great send off for the happy couple. They drove off in Paul's personal project, his renovated Mini's.

Given the background of these two, walking through the party was a stroll through sailing history. While the Wilmot family may be a widespread and well known clan of Australian success, Paul has also carved out an enviable sailing CV in a very short time: a part of Syd Fischer's Young Australia America's Cup crew; Around Australia record on board French multihull Geronimo; maxi yacht crew and paid hand and most recently sailing master for Rob Hanna's TP52 Shogun V, while also crewing with Micah Lane in the 18' skiffs and running 316 Stainless Steel shop for all things stainless.

The future looks bright for the Montagues (and Wilmots) and for Australian sailing's future.

Kimberley will be back on deck at Australian Sailing once the euphoria calms down.

Best wishes
