Abell Point Marina has added an additional service to its concierge offering with the introduction of heli-transfers from the airport to the marina.
Responding to feedback from guests, the marina has added the services to transit customers to their vessel quicker so more time can be spent out on the water. Commencing in May 2015, customers have access to a heli-service which will meet four flights daily into Proserpine Airport and transfer customers of the marina direct to their vessel in under 10 minutes.
For those wanting to travel further afield, the heli-service will also take flights from the marina out over the Whitsundays, making exploring the area a sea breeze.
“We really want to help our guests as much as possible throughout their stay,” explained marina owner Paul Darrouzet, “So from the minute we meet your flight with a heli-transfer, to the second you leave on your greater journey, we’ll be there for you.”
Local heli operator Ron Harris from Heli Taxi said “I am looking forward to providing more flexibility for visitors of the region to access the Whitsundays by air, which will include launching from Abell Point Marina out to Knuckle Reef, Whitehaven Beach and Heart Reef.”
