Steve and Kira Adams take out close fought Australian Stingray Titles

The Variable conditions of Victor Harbor South Australia provided four different heat winners in close exciting racing in the Australian Titles. Three races were postponed two due to over strong winds and one for no wind with the final race abandoned due to dangerous conditions provided by a strong South Westerly front raced through the fleets.

Although The first four place getters all won races during the series but the fact that Steve and Kira Adams sailing “Cutting Edge” managed to win four heats enabled them to take the title from “Indecent Obsession” sailed by Justin Forrester and Bill Mudge with “Wild Turkey” Brett and Brad Lienert third on a points count back decision. Had the abandoned race been completed the results could have been different as fourth placed overall “Crash n Burn” Todd and Mitchell Lienert was in a good place to improve from that race. The closeness of the racing ensures that the next title is certain to be hotly contested.
