Following the withdrawal of Luna Rossa from the America's Cup after a dispute over changing the size of the boats for the next Match, the opening event of the America's Cup World Series scheduled for Sardinia in June has been canceled.
The event in Cagliari had been scheduled for June 6-7 but America's Cup officials say the series will now start in Portsmouth, England, on July 25-26.
The other two World Series events are scheduled for Gothenburg, Sweden, Aug. 28-30, and Hamilton, Bermuda, Oct. 16-18.
