Video interview with Australian Sailing Team medal contenders

From 8-21 September 2014 more than 1,250 sailors in over 900 boats from 84 nations will compete at the Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships.  Racing will kick-off today, Friday, 12 September from 13:00 local time (21:00 AEST). 

 The 2014 ISAF Worlds is the event every sailor has been aiming to peak at since the London 2012 Olympic Games.  The strong Australian Sailing Team contingent, including Olympic Champions Mat Belcher (QLD), Nathan Outteridge (NSW), Iain Jensen (NSW) as well as Olympic Silver Medallists Olivia Price (NSW), Darren Bundock (NSW), Nina Curtis, and Lucinda Whitty (NSW) are hot contenders for podium spots in the 470, Laser, Nacra17, 49er and 49FXer classes.  Fresh talent and recent Rio test event, Aquece Rio – International Regatta Gold Medallist Tom Burton will also be the one to watch and is determined to win: “I definitely want to win and the results I’ve been getting this year show that I’m good enough to win and that’s definitely the goal.”
