Final day report from IODA:
After the storm of yesterday, today there was sunshine but little wind. The fleet waited ashore all morning and finally their patience was rewarded with 7-8 knots of wind and one race was completed.
Going in to today the championship title was still up for grabs with Nicolas Rolaz (SUI) and Dimitris Papadimitriou (GRE) both in contention. Dimitris however did not have a good race, finishing forty-eighth in the race and third place overall. Voravong Rachrattanaruk (THA) with a fourth place race finish moved up to second overall and Nicolas with a tenth place finish, had done enough to win the title with a net score ten places ahead of Voravong. First girl was Aina Colom (ESP), who finished fourth overall.
The hospitality of the Yacht Club Nautico has been overwhelming during this championship and their many volunteers have contributed to making this event a remarkable success. Thank you to you all – I am sure that everyone will have many happy memories of their time in Argentina.
At the prize giving the IODA flag was passed to the Polish team, the hosts for the 2016 World Championship.

Historically neither Australia nor New Zealand has performed well in this class, possibly because of lack of big fleet experience or perhaps because in both countries there are a number of different beginner classes sailed. However, with the Tackers program in Australia now well-established, it is time to see better results in what is the world's biggest learner class.
Only two antipodean competitors made the Yellow flight (top 70) cut, with Lewis Anderson (NZL) finishing 37th and Otto Henry (AUS) finishing 49th.
