The Dragonfly 35, a 10.68m trimaran from Quorning Yachts of Denmark took the European yacht of the year award in the multihulls category at the most recent Dusseldorf Boat Show.
The jury of 11 from leading European boating magazines gave the Dragonfly 35 the award for its dynamic design, high-build quality and sophisticated furnishing below deck. They commended the DF35 for its convincing handling and seaworthiness in a test sail in 3m to 4m waves during which it reached a top speed of 22.8 knots.
All Dragonfly models have the swing-wing system operated from the cockpit, which allows their wide beam to be reduced 50 per cent in two minutes for easier access to marinas and slipways.
