Henri Lloyd has used its own pioneering technical fabric, TP2 Alpha, to produce its new Phantom wet weather gear. The fabric has been created to deliver a high level of protection to the wearer, while eliminating the debilitating effects of wearing heavier traditional fabrics.
TP2 Alpha needs no secondary lining, producing a much lighter jacket with increased breathability and a faster drying time. The fabric has an internal moisture management system and has also been treated with a super durable water repellency finish which helps to shed surface water.
The Phantom jacket has internal back waist and hem adjusters, low-bulk unlined high visibility peaked hood, articulated ‘hood pod’ with a Rentex quick drying mesh collar and internal adjustable Dartex cuffs for comfortable offshore/coastal or harbour sailing.
The back hem is reinforced with heavy duty Cordura, the dual front- fastening non-corrosive zip has a two-way storm flap and drainage channel, and there are two front pockets with water resistant zips.
The women’s jacket is a technical replica of the men’s version but has been tailored to provide a better female fit, and it received a special mention at the 2006 Dame Awards for marine products.
The TP2 Phantom Hi-Fit trouse has also been developed in both men’s and women’s fit, using the same fabric. RRP for the jacket is $695, and $595 for the trouser.
