Manufacturing of JPK Yachts begins in Australia

Yes, it’s a big deal all around with JPK Pacific and experienced yacht-building specialist Innovation Composites of Nowra, NSW having commenced manufacturing in Australia.

JPK Pacific have the exclusive license for the Asia / Pacific region to market and manufacture the JPK brand.

JPK Pacific’s decision to manufacture in Australia delivers a vast range of benefits to our customers. Mattijs Willenborg of JPK Pacific said, “It’s an important aspect for our owners to be able to speak to the boat builder in person visiting the production yard during the process offers an intimate knowledge of the boat. There is no worry of exchange rates and delivery for our owners”.

Innovation Composites have produced over 100 race yachts. Mark Rowed said, “We are really excited to be building these proven race winners and believe that the JPK’s will feature in fleets throughout the Asia / Pacific region.”

JPK Pacific is producing the versatile JPK 1180 in both two-handed and crewed versions.  The outstanding success as an IRC racer of the JPK 11.80’s in the 2021 Fastnet, Middle Sea and the recent Caribbean 600 makes it an obvious choice for the value conscious Australian market with the ex-factory price $485 AUD. A podium opportunity is now a reality for club yachties.

Paul Glynn said, “The support of the NSW Government for Regional Manufacturing has been a bonus for ourselves at JPK Pacific and the Shoalhaven Region. Establishing a competitive boat building sector has been recognized by the NSW Government as a potential export opportunity.”
