Sean Langman says he was incredibly excited and emotional after lifting the Peter Rysdyk Memorial Trophy as overall winner of the 2022 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race.
Langman’s Reichel/Pugh 69 Moneypenny clinched victory on IRC for the third time in the race which he now sponsors, as Managing Director of Noakes Group.
Accepting the trophy was particularly moving for the 60-year-old, on the birthday of his late father.
Langman, navigator Matt Humphries and crew Keagan York celebrated by drinking champagne out of the trophy.
