Hobie 16 World’s Day 2

Four Aussie Teams currently in the top 10 after Day 2 of Onsite Qualifying at the Hobie 16 Worlds.

A strong breeze meant four more races were completed in two sessions today. The first session was sailed in 18-20 knots of breeze with higher gusts. Latter in the day the winds moderated jslightly. Again, the sea state was a big factor with wind driven waves mixing in with swell waves from a completely different direction. Downwind surfing the waves was a priority and teams could make up ground.

The qualifying series continues through September 24
