42nd International Finn Cup at Fraglia Vela Malcesine

Christoph Burger is the new winner of the International Finn Cup 2022!
Alessandro Marega (Società Vela Oscar Cosulich) won the 19th Menoni Trophy and third place overall. In second place was Australian Anthony Nossiter, just three points behind.

Finn Cup

The 42nd edition of the Finn Cup ended on Sunday in Malcesine. With 70 participating athletes for 12 nations represented, the International Finn Cup of Malcesine is reconfirmed as an unmissable event for the former Olympic class!

The regatta began with a slight delay on the program waiting for the weather that then allowed the completion of two beautiful races. The Austrian Florian Raudaschl immediately took first position with a first and a second place. Two other Masters stand out, respectively in second and third position, the Ukrainian Taras Havrysh and the Italian Roberto Strappati.

Two races with Light breeze also on the second day, sunny and hot. In the standings begins the ascent to the top for the Swiss Christoph Burger, with Alessandro Marega who takes the provisional leadership of the day. In second place always Taras Havrysh from Ukraine.

For the third day of Finn Cup, departure in the morning with Peler very stable and 16 knots constant. Two more races were added to the program.
Christoph Burger concluded his comeback, with two excellent placings, thus winning the International Finn Cup Trophy, overtaking the Australian Anthony Nossiter and Alessandro Marega, winner of the Menoni Trophy. Of note are the two victories of the day of Arkadia Kistanov.
