Are you coming to the Squaddy next weekend?
NSW Cherub Sprint Series at the Sydney Flying Squadron – 18-19 November
The inaugural NSW Cherub Sprint Series is fast approaching and we can’t wait to see everyone on the water for two days of fast paced, big fleet racing practice on the harbour ahead of the Cherub Nationals in Perth at Christmas.
If you have yet to register please do so at the link below. A reminder that those who have registered for the whole States Series have received entry to the Sprints for free so no need to enter again. Registration for the event will close at 12pm on the 18th of November.

Some Housekeeping
Arriving at the Club:
The Sydney Flying Squadron is located at 76 McDougall St, Kirribilli. Due to road closures in the area, McDougall Street will only be accessible via Willoughby Street near Pattons Slipway.
Trailers and boats can be dropped off and stored on the grass in the park beside the SFS.
Parking can be found on Clark Road Neutral Bay which is a short walk away and there are limited all day spots around the club so look out for signs.
The Course:
The Sprint Series will consist of 10 races, 5 on Saturday and Sunday, with a target time of 25 minutes. The course will be a two lap Windward/Leeward course. A competitors briefing will be held at 12pm on Saturday for more information. Access to the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions can be found on the website or at the link down below.
Volunteers:
The Cherub Association will be manning two support boats at the Squadron on the weekend. If anyone is interested in volunteering on board, please reach out to Cathy or Lily.
Post Racing Festivity:
The Squaddy will be hosting a sausage sizzle after racing on Saturday with the Historical 18’s fleet. It would be great to see all sailors having a beer and a chat at the end of the day over a snag! A presentation will also be held on Sunday afternoon after racing.
