USA picks up on Australian made JPK11.80’s

Featuring on international Regatta Podiums has brought the focus of keen eyes onto the availability of our Australian made JPK 11.80’s. The features of this Racer/ Cruiser include its versatility of crewed and 2H and the delivery from our Australian factory are now being complemented by its affordability in international markets thanks to the Australian Dollar.

The 2024 Caribbean series attracted a syndicate of American and Aussie yachtsmen including Shane Guanaria of Doyle Sails who experienced first hand how competitive the JPK 11.80’s are in global regatta conditions after chartering a JPK 11.80. As Cruiser / Racers they sail to their IRC rating and have been winning in Europe for many years. The Asia / Pacific market is now getting to see the potential of these yachts and the value they offer.

Enthusiasm and an eye for value of US yachtsman Ron Epstein and his Boat Manager Keiran Searle has the 3rd JPK 11.80 hull underway at our manufacturing base, Innovation Composites in Nowra. Keiran is known to some as he was in the legendary band who sailed the Ragamuffin’s for Sid Fisher.

The criteria of the new owner was an Australian made JPK 11.80 ready to be campaigned for the 2024 Sydney / Hobart race. On the completion of the Hobart race the boat will go to the USA and be based in San Francisco with the next campaign the downwind Trans Pac to Hawaii.

The JPK 11.80 offers a potential Podium experience either 2H or crewed for an investment of $635 K AUD catching the eye of USA buyers thanks to the exchange rate of the AUD. A well known fact is that the JPK 11.80 holds its value when traded which can be seen from European markets.

The 2023 Sydney-Hobart proved that the JPK 11.80 is durable complimenting the first class workmanship of our manufacturing partner Innovation Composites. JPK 11.80s are typically known to be incredibly strong off the breeze, increasingly apparent as the breeze builds.

Among the many advantages of our Australian Made JPK 11.80’s are the benefits that owners have in adding their customisation into the production process and the availability of monitoring the progress of production at our Nowra, NSW base. Our JPK Pacific technical Director Matts Willenborg is available to add value with the various optimisation options dependent on the intent of owners albeit cruising or competitive regatta racing.

We have a production slot available for an additional 11.80 to be ready for trailing for the 2024 Hobart race holding our current pricing of $635 AUD.

Go sailing on a JPK 11.80 and you will quickly realise the features of this globally popular yacht.

As a supporter of “Australian Made” the JPK 11.80 will fulfil the ambitions for either racing or cruising.

JPK Pacific is able to offer potential owners the opportunity to test sail a JPK 11.80 on Denis McConnell’s “Schuss” in Melbourne or Dr Simon Torvaldsen’s “Atomic Blonde” in Perth.
