Festival of 5’s in 2025

RPAYC was home for the International 5.5m Australian Championship 2025 (23 – 25 Feb).

After two days of racing, the leaderboard reflected the fierce on-water competition that saw Martin Cross – Alpha Crucis, Bob Stoddard – Skagerak, Chris Hancock – Rhapsody and current world 5.5m Champion, John Bacon – Ku-Ring-Gai battling it out at the top, with only three points separating the top four.

At the conclusion of the final day of racing today, John Bacon secured the win and was awarded the Australian Championship, along with his crew Jim Colley and Shaun Connor!

Congratulations John!
