Women’s team knock out another top Practice Day in the AC40
Today (Monday) the Andoo Team Australia’s women’s squad had their third day in fantastic sailing weather in Barcelona to stitch together their race practice for the Puig Women’s America’s Cup.
The team was straight into manoeuvers, using the steady 15+ knots of breeze, running drills to get the AC40 manoeuvring the way they need it to on the race track come 6 October.
The team grew in confidence throughout the session, regularly hitting boat speeds in the mid 40 knot range.
Andoo Team Australia will next be on water on Wednesday 2 October for practice racing with Group B. This will be the only time the team sees the opposition in a full racing scenario before doing so for points in the first qualifying races for Group B on 6 October.
Hospitality events about to start in Barcelona
With a big influx of family and supporters for the next racing window we are excited to present two major hospitality events for our Andoo Team Australia campaign.
On Wednesday, 2 October we will host the Opening Cocktail Party at the Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona and there are still tickets available. Picture above.
There will also be an official Gala Team Dinner for all our friends and we would love you to attend with us at the iconic 1881 per Sagardi restaurant overlooking Port Vell, pictured.
