B&G has introduced its multifunction navigation system, the Zeus2 Glass Helm.
Suited to bluewater cruisers and super yachts, the Zeus2 Glass Helm brings together sail-specific features with a dual independent output for unprecedented sailing navigation.
Zeus2 Glass Helm features fast speeds for charting, radar, and sonar; dual widescreen displays, intuitive multi-touch control and extensive compatibility for integration.
The Zeus2 Glass Helm includes sailing specific features from the SailSteer composite sailing screen to WindPlot and Sailing Time calculations and the manufacturers claim that no other Glass Helm system today has been designed specifically for sailors.
B&G’s new Zeus2 Glass Helm system is a multifunction sailing specific system to offer dual-independent video outputs with full HD resolution. The system itself is comprised of a powerful quad core Zeus2 processor and tough ZM series monitors to provide independent display and control of the latest in sailing navigation functionality.
Zeus2 ZM series monitors provide a low profile, glass-bridge look with more screen and less border than other solutions. Available in 16-inch and 19-inch high-bright multi-touch (T) models, the monitors feature on-glass menu keys and can be flush mounted in pedestals and nav stations or installed on a VESA mount.
A fully expandable system, Zeus2 Glass Helm’s substantial connectivity options provide seamless connectivity with other Zeus-Series devices on board, as well as the comprehensive range of innovative B&G Instruments, Pilots and Performance Modules.
Key navigation features are accessible from the system’s icon-driven home screen, charts can be panned, zoomed and personalised with familiar consumer electronics gestures, and the new screen splits and data panel configurations are optimised for widescreen viewing.
The Zeus2 Glass Helm also supports a wide choice of cartography options in the market, including Jeppesen C-Map Max-N charts, Navionics Gold and Platinum, Insight Genesis, NV Digital Charts and other third-party products including the ability to navigate using two distinct chart types simultaneously. It also provides full support for the ZC1 networked remote control allowing activation of navigation and Pilot functions.
Providing powerful navigation with versatile and simple expansion capabilities, the Zeus2 Glass Helm provides plug-and-play integration with B&G Broadband Radar, GoFree Wireless Wifi-1, SonicHub® marine audio server and more.
Available from B&G dealers now, the B&G Zeus2 Glass Helm complements the modern super yacht of today and has RRP pricing of $6475 AUD/ $7964 NZD, with ZM-Series Multi-Touch displays ranging from $4949 to $7204 AUD RRP/ $6087 to $8865 NZD RRP. The system is protected by the B&G Advantage Service Program.
