Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron appoints dual Olympian and triple World Champion Sarah Ogilvie (nee Blanck) as Head of Sailing

Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron has appointed dual Olympian and triple World Champion, Sarah Ogilvie (nee Blanck) as Head of Sailing.

Sarah’s appointment affirms Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron’s commitment to provide engaging and world-class sail training programs and experiences for all it’s members and guests. 

Since retiring from high performance sport in 2009 Sarah has established a successful career in the creation and delivery of sailing participation and sail training programs. Her previous roles include Australian Sailing Director, Sailability Coordinator, Senior Coach and Instructor.

Sarah has also played an integral role in a variety of sailing committees and working parties including the Youth Advisory, Women and Girls, High Performance and Olympic Nomination Panel.

Holding two degrees (Bachelor of Design (Graphic) and a Bachelor of Education (Design & Technology, Art) as well as sport and recreation certification including senior coaching certification and fitness qualifications, Sarah is a passionate and engaging leader who will no doubt inspire a new generation of sailors at BYS.

Sarah will start with the club on 11th June 2019.
