The body of a man missing after a sailboat capsized in the waters of Budd Inlet has been found, Thurston County officials said Sunday.
Police got a 911 call just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday stating three people were in the water near Burfoot Park, said Lt. Cliff Ziesemer with the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.
Two people were able to make it out of the water, but Jay R. Bergland of Olympia remained missing.
A Coast Guard helicopter, boat, and county boat combed the area for the man Saturday evening before having to suspend the search. The search resumed Sunday morning.
The 46-year-old man's body was recovered at Case Inlet near Herron Island, said Thurston County officials.
