Developers of the Gateway Marina at Burnett Heads in Queensland are offering a special introductory package for tenants who take up berths in the first stage of the marina's development.
The new marina, announced last year, is located at the mouth of the Burnett River on Queensland's Wide Bay, 20km from Bundaberg. The final stage of harbour dredging for the 273 berth marina is now underway with water-based infrastructure and construction set to start in the second half of 2019. The marina expected to open between August and December this year.
For the initial release of 56 private berths, the marina developers are now offering a Founding Members package that includes a 10% rental discount, a guarantee of first rights to buy berths if released for sale and first viewing of completed apartments.
The first berths will be designed to accommodate single and multi-hull vessels up to 27 metres as well as two additional commercial berths able to accommodate vessels up to 32 metres.
Simon Harvey from the marina developers, BH Developments QLD Pty Ltd, said the marina will offer a safe, sheltered harbour for boaters with easy access to nearby Bundaberg.
“After years of planning, we are excited to be so close now to welcoming our first boats into Gateway Marina and their owners will enjoy great benefits from day one,” he said. “As well as being in an accessible and picturesque location at the mouth of the river, the marina will offer many of the modern conveniences boat owners are looking for including a 24-hour automated fuel dock, free wi-fi, convenience store, chandlery and onshore bathroom and shower amenities.
“We will also be operating a free shuttle to Bundaberg and concierge services, along with a courtesy car being available upon request.
“We are committed to ensuring that from day one our founding members will be as comfortable as possible at Gateway Marina and can’t wait to welcome them later in the year.”
