The Star Class World Championship will be making sailing history with its 100th World Championship to be held from 8-17 September in Marblehead Massachusetts.
As presenting sponsor, Bacardi, the world-renowned beverage brand, will celebrate its long-standing partnership with the Star Class by hosting the gala dinner on Wednesday, 14 September. As usual we will be serving our world class cocktails to our sailors and all supporters.
The Star World Championship will be a feast of nostalgia, bringing together sailors from the 20th and 21st centuries ,who will be celebrating a 100-year legacy.

The Star Class has always represented a hot bed of the world’s sailing talent and the 2022 Star Worlds will be no different. Among the 170 sailors competing, there will be numerous past world champions, who will be looking over their shoulders keeping an eye on future generations in the strong U30 teams.
Special guests and legends will also be attending the regatta and with others will enjoy onshore cocktail hours and the gala dinner celebrations.
After the practice race on Saturday, September 10, racing gets underway on 11 September, with the six-races series featuring a traditional two-hour long daily race, scheduled to start at 12:30 hours and at 10:30 hours on the final day.
Competition will be close and intense as 75 teams compete to have their names inscribed on the winners’ trophy, along with claiming the age category trophies and prizes.
