Crankster takes overall victory in Brisbane to Keppel Race

Andrew Wiklunds Farr 40 Crankster is the Overall Winner of the Brisbane to Keppel Tropical Yacht Race after great closing run up the Capricornia coast.

The team from the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron completed the race just after Sunset on Sunday, gapping the rest of their division after a challenging start in Moreton Bay. As with many of the yachts in this years race Crankster did its share of drifting in the tide at one point, but came home strong as Keppel Bay Marina approached.

Only 13 minutes separated Crankster in first, Envy Scooters in second and Showtime in third place.

There were only three retirements, Kerisma Gill, Grace O'Malley and Ocean Affinity.

The team on board Crankster featured a number of experienced sailors, many of whom have cut their teeth as part of Queensland yachting icon Robbo Robertson's campaigns.
