The Caribbean 'ring' saw a worrying increase of 17 per cent in reported crimes during 2016. The two previous years had recorded no increases.
The Caribbean Safety and Security Net (CSSN) has published its full report and for anyone thinking of visiting the area it should be required reading. The 'ring' includes the West Indies islands, Cuba, Central America and North America.
