The Excess 11 Bombarda, led by Marco and Lizzy’s team, has won the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) 2021 Multihulls Class B category.
Being the only Excess catamaran in ARC 2021, Bombarda departed from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria on November 21, 2021, and completed the trans-atlantic crossing in 18 days, 23 hours, 35 minutes and 45 seconds.
The hostile weather and unpredictable sea condition have brought additional obstacles for the crossing. Their key to success, along with their unrivalled passion for sea and sailing, strong team spirit and rigorous sea planning, is the state-of-the-art technical design of Excess 11. The boat enabled them to cross the Atlantic at an excellent speed safely. That is why this model has been awarded by SAIL magazine and Cruising World magazine respectively due to its optimum balance between performance and sailing sensation.
With the Excess fleet now being complete —Excess 11, Excess 12 and Excess 15 in Asia Pacific, there will be more happenings in the region and please stay tuned to our news and events.
