Follow the Moonshadow to the Sydney International Boat Show

Taiwan boat builder Tayana Yachts will be making its debut at the Sydney International Boat Show (SIBS), launching its 'Elegance' range of blue water cruising yachts with Moonshadow, a Tayana Voyager 58 at Cockle Bay Marina.

For the first time since the company was formed in 1973, the team from Tayana Yachts will showcase Moonshadow as well as the Elegance range of 51ft, 57ft and 66ft yacht designs.

Managing director, Roger Goldsmith invites attendees to visit Tayana and Moonshadow to experience its yacht craftsmanship. “We’re excited to be exhibiting at the SIBS, and I invite blue water cruising enthusiasts to come aboard and experience the build and finish of a Tayana for themselves. We handcraft stylish, high quality and high performance luxury blue water cruising yachts that are built to withstand the rigours and sometimes harsh conditions experienced on ocean passages. Moonshadow allows us to demonstrate the fine quality and build of all Tayanas, including our new Elegance range.”

Eight years old and in mint condition, Moonshadow has more than demonstrated her seaworthiness and has ocean sailed 50,000 nautical miles, which chairman and the Tayana 58 owner, Dick Beaumont believes is testimony to the high quality, strength and craftsmanship of a true blue water yacht. “The decision to display Moonshadow at the SIBS was a simple one for us. For me, Moonshadow is one of the best examples of the superb style, design, high quality and craftsmanship that Tayana has been known for over the past forty years. The new Elegance 57 concept and design were borne out of the Voyager 58, one of Tayana’s most popular designs that is still available today. You haven’t experienced a true blue water cruising yacht, until you’ve sailed in a Tayana.”

Keen and active blue water yachtsmen Roger Goldsmith and Dick Beaumont commenced a joint venture with Taiwan-based boat builder Ta Yang Building in 2013, and set up Tayana Yachts. They welcomes visitors to come and meet the team at berth 56 from Thursday 31 July until Monday 4 August.
