Fountaine Pajot continues to celebrate its 40 years in production with the announcement of a new 47-foot sailing catamaran.
Set for launch in April 2017, the company says the new 47 is “the quintessential catamaran for extended cruising or circumnavigations, offering remarkable space, safety, comfort and powerful performance in all conditions”.
The catamaran boasts high levels of living space including a huge open-plan cockpit designed for entertaining with integrated BBQ and a new tender lift that doubles as a swimming platform. The foredeck has been fitted with a sun lounger, while the expansive 9m2 lounge deck is a retreat for relaxing and taking in the surrounds.
The 47’s saloon is bathed in bright natural light, and her comprehensively equipped galley has an island bench plus an abundance of storage making it ideal for extended cruising.
The catamaran is available in two layouts, including a three-cabin Owner version featuring a master suite that occupies an entire hull complete with a luxurious ensuite with Italian-style shower, with two generous guest cabins in the port hull that each enjoy their own exclusive ensuites. The new 47 is also available in a five-cabin charter version with private ensuites to the four double guest cabins as well as to the crew quarters.
The company says, “The new 47 has been meticulously designed to offer intuitive responsiveness at the wheel and exceptional performance in all conditions. Her optimised weight-to-volume ratio delivers perfect balance and stability for an unforgettable sailing experience at any speed.”
Fountaine Pajot’s sailing catamaran range now features six models spanning 40 to 67 feet.
