French Olympic Week – Day 3

The iconic Mistral swept through Hyères today, delivering exactly what this regatta is known for, its offshore, gusty winds pushing sailors to their limits. After a slow morning, the breeze suddenly kicked in, ramping up to 20–25 knots. Conditions quickly turned gnarly, with races eventually abandoned late in the day as the wind and waves built to extremes.

But our Aussies held their own in the chaos, some of the highlights were:

Grae Morris being unstoppable in the iQFOiL, winning all four of his races to stay dominant at the top of the leaderboard.

Brin Liddell & Rhiannan Brown enjoying the big breeze, finishing the day with a 2nd place and holding 5th overall in the Nacra 17.

Top 10s after Day 3:

1st – Grae Morris (iQFOiL)

5th – Brin Liddell & Rhiannan Brown (Nacra 17)

8th – Archie Gargett & Sarah Hoffman (Nacra 17)
