Getting high? The Polar yachting guide available

In these weird times where cruising destinations are limited, then making the effort to head for the high north or high south latitudes can be enticing.

But certain rules apply for such important and fragile environments. Not just for your own safety.

There has been an increase in the number of yachts cruising in Greenland, Svalbard, Alaska, the Northwest Passage, South America, the southern oceans and the Antarctic. A guide to proper protocols was needed to ensure the pristine nature of these areas.

The PYG, which is specifically designed for yachts, is in three parts: (a) safety of navigation and voyage planning for all polar waters, (b) Arctic waters and (c ) Antarctic waters. The PYG is intended to supplement existing guides and pilot books.
