Spain’s Elena Moreno pulled off a dramatic coup when she defeated world champion Moona Whyte in a banging final. The win at the GWA Wingfoil World Tour season opener in the Wave discipline was the Spanish athlete’s first world cup win. France’s Malo Guénolé took the victory in a tight battle with US ripper Cash Berzolla. Both teenagers were on fire in the historic conditions served up by Ponta Preta and scored perfect 10-point rides. The final day of epic action at the GWA Wingfoil World Cup Cape Verde was one for the ages.
