ROUND TWO: Engadinwing by Dakine Event Begins and Day one is complete!

We’re back for the second GWA Wingfoil World Tour event of the year and this week sees us in the iconic Swiss Alps for the Ensis Engadinwing by Dakine GWA Wingfoil World Cup.

Surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of Silvaplana and St Moritz this is an event that everyone is very eager to participate in both the Surf-Freestyle and Surf-Slalom disciplines that will run this week.

Day one was jam-packed with action as we were able to complete the women’s Surf-Freestyle event. You can find out how the event unfolded and what the men got up to below!

REGISTRATION
Tuesday morning began with 51 men and 11 women attending Riders Registration whilst we patiently waited for the thermal to kick in.

As of 10.30am the wind came so it was full steam ahead to get the Women’s Surf-Freestyle rounds underway and on the water with 10-11 hours worth of Surf-Freestyle to get through at this event across the men’s and women’s competitions.

WEDNESDAY 15th JUNE SCHEDULE:

As the women’s Surf-Freestyle is now complete and the men are up to Round 4 tomorrow’s forecast looks great. We are heading down to St Moritz for a full day of Surf-Slalom competition for all athletes with the skippers meeting commencing at 10.30am with a first possible start at 11.15am.
