Handicap and line honours winners from Monday at Audi Hamilton Island Race Week

The potential winners are beginning to emerge in the non-Grand Prix divisions at Audi Hamilton Island Race Week. Although there are still four days of racing to be completed, strong performances on the water yesterday (Monday) saw Jive Talkin and No Regrets win both line honours and handicap to cement themselves at the top of the standings.

Ray Hasler's Davidson 38 from Keri Keri in the Bay of Islands was trapped in bad air at the start, but used her superior speed to forge clear and was never headed. She is competing in Performance Racing Division 1.

Other handicap winners yesterday were Ruth Magic, Local Hero, Perpetual Moceon, Wirrajurnd, Spray Drift, On Location and Ngak Ngak.

Fastest in their divisions were Honeysuckle, Typhoon, Ginger, Jive Talkin, True Love, Nellie Myra, Joi de Vie, No Regrets and Esprit.

Today is a lay day, with racing resuming on Wednesday.
