The new Hanse 315 was announced as “European Yacht of the Year” at Düsseldorf Boat Show. The winner was chosen by a jury of experts from eleven major continental European sailing magazines. The 315 was up against 25 other boats and won the family cruiser category.
All nominees were judged through extensive sea trials and and evaluated in six different areas: sailing characteristics, comfort, quality of construction, innovation, design and price-performance ratio. The Hanse 315 impressed the jury with the moderate base price, the modern and prominent line management, the agile sailing characteristics and the easy handling.
The winners were announced on the first night of Düsseldorf boat show and Dr. Jens Gerhardt, CEO of HanseYachts AG, was delighted to accept the prize.
In the words of one of the judges Jochen Rieker: “HanseYachts has always been a very innovative yard, especially among the big players.
