Highfield Ocean Master 640 to debut at SIBS

The Highfield Ocean Master 640 rigid inflatable will have its world debut at the Sydney International Boat Show.

The 640 RIB performs well without compromising visual appeal. The models range from 3.5 to 6.4 metres giving buyers a flexibilityto select desired options to personalise and compliment individual requirements.

The concept behind the Highfield 640 was developed through Highfield’s sponsorship and involvement with Samantha Davies, well known sailing identity and competitor in the Vendee Globe. Highfield provided Samantha with a custom made 6.4 metre RIB for the 2012 edition of the race event. This RIB had to be fast and manoeuvrable as a chase boat, while also being used as a tug boat for the yacht when entering harbours.  Furthermore, this RIB was used as both a spectator vessel for guests and to carry additional yachting equipment. It was this versatility of Highfield’s 6.4 RIB that secured its position within the Highfield range of Ocean Masters.

The Ocean Master 640 is designed with tough conditions in mind and has an internal under-floor fuel tank, self-draining deck and a 24º dead rise.

Recognised as the 5th largest inflatable boat manufacturer in the world, the Highfield range of boats are a decendant of the Australian Swift Marine range of aluminium hulled RIBs, regarded for both its leisure craft as well as its commercial RIBs.

A range of Highfield Inflatable boats, including its Roll-up, Ultralite, Classic and of course Ocean Master models can all be viewed at the Sydney International Boat Show, Hall 5, Stand 505.
