The Jeanneau Sun Fast 3600 has just been named IRC Boat of the Year by the UNCL, “Union Nationale pour la Course au Large.”
The UNCL judging panel is composed of journalists from a variety of marine media. This award compliments a season already rich in first places and trophies.
This year in France, the Sun Fast 3600 has been distinguished by the SNIM, the Porquerolles Race Week, the Giraglia Rolex Cup, as well as the “Championnat Méditerranée Equipage” IRC-UNCL 2016 in IRC3. The Sun Fast 3600 has also gained a raft of podium finishes in the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia and New Zealand.
This award once again affirms the successful collaborative work of the Jeanneau team and Andrieu Yacht Design, the designer of the boat.
The Sun Fast 3600 benefits from the latest advances in vacuum-bagged resin infusion to ensure exceptional strength and rigidity while drastically reducing weight.
The lightweight, powerful hull with its hard chine, twin rudders and lead keel contributes to this new Sun Fast’s speed, balance and stability on all tacks. Perfectly adapted to solo, doublehanded, and crewed regattas, the Sun Fast 3600 is designed to compete in both inshore and offshore races.
Available with twin, composite tillers or wheel steering and choices in mainsheet management, the deck layout ensures easy handling through well thought-out ergonomics and optimised sailing functions.
