According to a report by Lea Emery of the Fraser Coast Chronicle, police are calling for public help to find Eero Tiitinen who was last seen at Hervey Bay Marina on November 17.
Mr Tiitinen, 67, set off from Hervey Bay marina in his 8.2m Herreschoff yacht with a white hull and blue mast named Colombo 7. He had told family he was going to sail to Inskip Point, stay overnight and then head to Moreton Island.
The report says Mr Tittinen is an experienced sailor and usually contacts family and friends but has not contacted anyone since leaving the marina. Police have been unable to locate the boat at any marinas or points along the route.
He is described as Caucasian, about 185cm tall, solid build, with short grey hair and a beard. If you have any information call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Police Link 131 444.
