From the Ocean Racing Club of Victoria:
Our thoughts are with our very good friends at Mersey Yacht Club (MYC), who sadly lost their marina pontoon berths and most of their boats washed down the Devonport River in the wild weather that lashed Northern Tasmania, causing floods and debris in the river at levels that have never been seen before.
Tony Jamieson of MYC advised that fortunately all MYC members are safe and the cleanup has begun. Some yachts have been secured downstream, some others and parts of the marina are yet to be located. They have significant hurdles ahead.
MYC is the finishing host club of the ORCV Melbourne to Devonport ocean yacht race.

A report has also been received that the Vaucluse Yacht Club in Sydney has been extensively damaged. Here's the notification to members form the Commodore:
Unfortunately, last Sunday night the club was badly damaged by the fierce storms and ocean swell.
Insurance accessors have been out to the club and have deemed it too dangerous to be used. At this stage the club has been boarded up and you cannot gain access to the club until further notice.
We are awaiting the arrival of structural engineers to give their report. Will keep everybody updated.
