Middle Sea Race review

Records were broken at the 42nd edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race.

Organised by the Royal Malta Yacht Club (RMYC) and partnered by Rolex since 2002, the 606-nautical mile race is renowned for its beautiful racecourse and challenging conditions. Setting a time of 33 hours, 29 minutes and 28 seconds, Jason Carroll’s United States trimaran Argo set a new outright race record.

Comanche, the 100-ft (30.48m) Maxi, overcame determined rivals to both claim monohull line honours and set a new monohull race record of 40 hours, 17 minutes and 50 seconds. Comanche would also be crowned overall race winner on corrected time, completing the triple crown.
