No racing at SailGP Cowes owing to adverse weather

Chief Communications Officer Christy Cahill:

Due to forecast severe adverse weather, and in order to ensure the safety of all athletes, staff, spectators and guests, Cowes SailGP will not proceed with racing on Saturday, August 10.

Experts are predicting winds reaching gale force, and the national weather service has issued a yellow weather warning.

We look forward to showcasing SailGP’s European debut on Sunday, with racing starting at 3 p.m. local. We are currently exploring options to further maximize Sunday’s program and fan experience. Additional details will follow.

Ticket refunds will be issued per the Cowes SailGP Ticket Refund Policy.

This is the first time SaulGp has lost an entire day owing to high winds.
