The notice of race for the first annual Croatia First Regatta is available from the organising authorities, the Yacht Club First Sailing and Mariner Boating Events.
In 2014, after ten years of operating the annual Croatia Yacht Rally, Mariner Boating decided to offer sailors a siffernet sailing event for 2015, where they can race at an international level while still enjoying the adventure of an overseas holiday.
The Inaugural Croatia First regatta was designed and created by Mariner Boating who have partnered with local operators First Sailing, Ultra Sailing and the Croatian Sailing Federation. The regatta will be contested in a one-design fleet of race-ready Beneteau First 45s provided by First Sailing.
Beginning in Split and finishing on the island of Korcula, the entire regatta and travel experience will be managed by Mariner Boating and their partners. Participants and their partners will be able to spend each night after the races in boutique style accommodation on land, pre-arranged by Mariner Boating, or take the option to sleep on-board.
The regatta is being supported by Beneteau head office in France. Export Sales Manager Basile Camus, explained how they will be encouraging the international dealer network to get involved in the regatta, “today, we have started to talk about this event to our network and we are going to visit every dealer individually to advise them that this event is being organised.”
Entries are now being accepted from both amateurs and professionals teams from around the world.
