O'Connell and Siganto lead 29er Worlds after three finals races

Information coming out of the 29er Worlds at Pwllheli in Wales is hard to come by, but the news for Australia is good after three races in testing conditions. Kyle O'Connell and Tom Siganto have opened up a solid seven point lead on the second-placed French pairing and with two days of finals racing remaining, are almost certain of a medal.

The Australians sit on a nett 17 points, ahead of Nael/Tydgat FRA) on 24 and Wiliford/Waddell (USA) on 29. Another Australian crew, John Cooley and Simon Hoffman are fourth but with 48 points will need one of the leading boats to falter to get on the podium.
