The PIC Insurance Brokers Harbour Classic, a flagship event within the vibrant Moana Auckland Festival, invites sailors of every calibre to converge on the stunning Waitematā Harbour for a weekend of nautical excitement and camaraderie on the 8th and 9th of March 2024.
This unique regatta is not just for the seasoned competitors; it’s a celebration of all things sailing, embracing lifestyle sailors, families, and competitive enthusiasts alike. The PIC Harbour Classic welcomes all.
Yachts of various sizes and types will share the same startline for the 17 nautical race. Starting at North Head, running along the north shore beaches to Torbay and returning to North Head through the Rangitoto Channel.
But it’s not just a yacht race. Based on the famous Barcolana Regatta in Trieste, Italy this event seamlessly merges the thrill of a race with the joy of a festival.
At the heart of the experience is the creation of a lively sailing village. Participants are granted an exclusive two-night berth at Jellicoe/North Wharf, in the heart of the action. This includes not only the welcome party and grand prizegiving but also the captivating events of the Moana Auckland Festival.
