Brean’s beach warden told Burnham-On-Sea.com that he thinks he has seen the yacht moored on Steep Holm several times during recent years and has informed Coastguards.
Burnham RNLI and Coastguards recovered the yacht – called Egoist – from Berrow beach at high tide on Monday evening and took the vessel to the pontoons at Burnham-On-Sea Sailing Club.
“Police are treating this as a missing person enquiry,” a Police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com, as they released a photo of the owner. “Officers are concerned for the welfare of the owner, David Moore, aged 43, and anyone with information which could help is asked to get in touch.”
