The new version of the well-known nine-year-old NEX range is now available in Australia.
Several innovations and technological features will bring an even better performance, safety and comfort when sailing.
The main highlight is the new Furlassist feature, a patented pawl function which works in two directions. The system is intuitive and provides great and safe assistance for furling. The permanent engagement of the pawl not only assists the furling of the sail, it also makes it very reliable as it only unlocks when hauling in the line or the sheet, avoiding accidental unfurling of the line. The lock operates in both directions and without additional line. It is also very easy to install and remove as it is fitted with only two screws.
The other attractive feature is the fact that Profurl has increased the spool diameter of most sizes, improving the speed of furling and making it a lot more comfortable during maneuvers – a real advantage for small crews.
The bearings remain the same – 100C6 carbon steel – and are totally waterproof so do not require any maintenance.
The 7-model range will cover boats up to 80ft and sail areas up to 350m2.
A great selection of new terminals is also available, with new lashing eyes, halyard blocks and 3 :1 sheave.
