The Property Industry Foundation’s (PIF) Annual Charity Yachting Regatta will return on 13 March, 2015 to help raise much needed funds for homeless young people living on the streets. Sponsored by Colliers International the event will be hosted at the Middle Harbour Yacht Club in Mosman, aiming to exceed last year’s fundraising efforts of $430,000.
Entries have been flooding in with 50 participants already registered. “We are delighted to be holding the Regatta again in 2015. The Regatta is our leading fundraising event that enables the property industry to get together and raise funds for a much needed cause,” said Rosemary Smithson, National Chief Executive Officer of PIF.
The event sees over 100 yachts competing and is expected to involve around 2,000 people from within the industry, with proceeds going towards the PIF House Program. PIF House program is an initiative whereby a home is constructed by PIF to accommodate up to ten homeless young people looking to make positive changes to their lives.
A “haunted Tiki Island” themed beach party will be held at Middle Harbour Yacht Club after the race.
