Registrations have opened for the 2020 Mediterranean Escapade, which is set to become one of the most popular international rallies when it is staged from 7-12 May.
Hosted by Mariner Boating and Multihull Solutions, Mediterranean Escapade is expected to draw a strong contingent of participants who can participate on their own boat, charter a Fountaine Pajot catamaran, or just book a berth or cabin for the rally.
The 2020 rally takes participants from Kusadasi to Marmaris, sailing the spectacular Greek Islands of the Aegean Sea and the Carian coast of Turkey.
To be held over the best two weeks of the Mediterranean summer, the rally is taking in some unforgettable destinations, including Kusadasi and its ancient city of Ephesus, the rugged beauty and excellent restaurants of Samos – and Arki – with its population of 40 people and 200 goats, which produces the best fetta in Greece.
Participants will also experience the fantastic views of the Turkish coast from Pserimos, the 11th century monastery in Patmos that is the spiritual headquarters of the Greek Orthodox Church, the bustling carpet markets of Datca and much more.
There is a choice of six Fountaine Pajot catamarans available for charter in the rally, including a Salina 48, Helia 44, Astrea 42 and three Lucia 40 sailing catamarans.
Prices start from AU$5,575 per person; based on an eight people crew chartering a four-cabin Lucia 40 sailing catamaran. Participants can also book by berth or cabin, book the entire catamaran, or choose to sail their own yacht in the Mediterranean Escapade.
